What is RightOwner?
A Microsoft Teams app that keeps one directory of owners and backups for every system, process, vendor and budget in your company.
Where is our data stored?
In a SharePoint list on your company's SharePoint home site, inside your own Microsoft 365 tenant. RuBuild Services never receives your directory data.
Does it work outside Teams?
Yes. RightOwner also opens in Outlook and the Microsoft 365 app, using the same directory.
How much does it cost?
Free for up to 25 items. Pro is $29 per month for companies with up to 250 people, and Business is $79 per month for any size. Both have a 30-day free trial. Prices are per company, not per user. Pro and Business are launching soon.
How do we pay?
Through Microsoft AppSource. Microsoft bills your organization and you can cancel any time in the Microsoft 365 admin center.
What happens if we cancel?
RightOwner returns to the Free plan. Nothing is deleted.
Why does it need admin approval?
Reading colleagues' profiles and writing to a shared SharePoint list need permissions that only a Microsoft 365 admin can approve for the organization. It's a one-time step.
Can we import our existing spreadsheet?
Yes. Import a CSV with the columns Item, Category, Description, Owner email and Backup email.
What happens when someone leaves?
Their items are flagged as needing a new owner, and you can hand all of them over to someone new in one step.
Does RightOwner use AI or sell our data?
RightOwner does not send your directory data to anyone, including us, and we never sell data or use it to train AI.
